Come see Dr. Matos. Book Now!

We look forward to seeing you at Dental Haven!

Clear aligners are a modern alternative to traditional braces that use a series of custom-made, transparent trays to gradually move teeth into their ideal position. Instead of metal brackets and wires, clear aligners apply gentle, controlled pressure to guide teeth over time.

These aligners are made from medical-grade clear plastic and fit snugly over your teeth, making them comfortable, removable, and hardly visible when worn.

At Dental Haven, clear aligner therapy begins with a digital scan of your teeth, allowing us to create a personalized treatment plan that maps out each stage of tooth movement. This digital planning allows you to preview how your smile may look before treatment even begins.

Treatment Time & Expectations

Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of the case. Many patients complete treatment in about 6–12 months, though some cases may take longer. Most aligners are worn about 22 hours per day, and each set is typically replaced every 1–2 weeks to gradually move the teeth into position.

Because the aligners are removable, patients can continue to eat normally and maintain their regular brushing and flossing routine throughout treatment.

Advantages of Clear Aligners

When clear aligners are used appropriately, patients may experience several benefits:

Nearly invisible treatment compared to braces Comfortable design without metal wires or brackets Removable for eating and oral hygiene● Fewer office visits compared to traditional orthodontics● Digitally planned treatment for predictable results

Clear aligners offer a convenient way for many adults and teens to improve their smile without the appearance of traditional braces.

How Clear Aligners Work

Clear aligner therapy works by using a series of custom trays, each designed to move your teeth slightly closer to their final position.

Each aligner is worn for about 1–2 weeks, gradually guiding the teeth into alignment before progressing to the next set in the series.

Over time, these small movements add up to a noticeable transformation in your smile.

  • Aligners should be removed before eating, allowing you to enjoy your normal diet without restrictions.

  • No. Since aligners are removable, you can brush and floss normally.

  • For best results, aligners should be worn about 22 hours per day.
