When a tooth becomes damaged, infected, or weakened, our goal is simple: preserve as much of your natural tooth as possible while restoring its strength, function, and appearance.
— Restorative Care
Every tooth is unique. Before recommending treatment, Dr. Matos carefully evaluates the condition of your tooth, surrounding gums, bite, and long-term prognosis. Whenever possible, we recommend the most conservative treatment that provides a predictable, long-lasting result.

Comfortable, Modern Dentistry.
We understand that many patients feel anxious about dental treatment or worry about discomfort. Our goal is to make every visit as comfortable as possible by combining gentle techniques, modern technology, and proven pain-control methods. Every patient is different, and Dr. Matos will recommend the options that best fit your treatment and comfort needs.
Local Anesthesia
Local anesthesia safely numbs the treatment area, allowing procedures to be completed comfortably while you remain fully awake.
Nitrous Oxide(Minimal Sedation)
Nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") helps reduce anxiety and promotes a calm, relaxed experience during treatment. Its effects wear off quickly, allowing most patients to drive themselves home afterward.
Pain Eraser Technology
For select procedures, we use the Pain Eraser®, a non-invasive device that helps reduce discomfort without additional injections or medication. It can be especially helpful for patients with dental anxiety or sensitivity.
Even the best dental restorations require proper care. Good home hygiene and routine preventive visits help fillings, crowns, implants, and other restorations last as long as possible.
Can a damaged tooth be saved?
Often, yes. Whenever possible, our goal is to preserve your natural tooth. The best treatment depends on how much healthy tooth remains and the long-term prognosis.
Will I always need a crown?
No. Smaller areas of damage can often be restored with a filling or bonding. Crowns are typically recommended when a tooth has lost too much structure to be predictably restored with a filling.
Is a root canal better than an extraction?
When a tooth can be predictably saved, a root canal is often the preferred option because it preserves your natural tooth. If the tooth cannot be restored, an extraction may be the healthier long-term choice.
How long do fillings and crowns last?
With good oral hygiene and regular dental visits, fillings and crowns can last many years. Their lifespan depends on factors such as the material used, the size of the restoration, your bite, and your home care.
What happens if I delay treatment?
Dental problems rarely improve without treatment. Addressing issues early often allows for simpler, more conservative treatment and can help preserve more of your natural tooth.
Will my restoration look natural?
Yes. We use modern tooth-colored materials that are carefully selected to match the color and shape of your natural teeth whenever possible, creating a comfortable and natural-looking result.
